The Blue Ribbon Run
The Blue Ribbon Run for Prostate Cancer Awareness is an annual 10K/5K run and 2-mile awareness walk sponsored by the HMHP Foundation. Proceeds from the race support community education programs to raise awareness of prostate cancer in the Mahoning Valley and to get a simple message across: if you are over 40, talk to your doctor about getting a prostate exam that includes a PSA blood test and a DRE exam. It’s easy, painless and it could save your life.
The annual Blue Ribbon Run for Prostate Cancer Awareness is held in September to coincide with National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Runners, walkers, men, women and families are encouraged to come out and join the fun.
Annual race awards include:
- 10K/5K - Top three overall male and female.
- Top three male and female in each age group.
- Race shirts are guaranteed to anyone who registers prior to the deadline
Any race participant (walker or runner) who raises a minimum of $100 for Prostate Cancer Awareness will receive an additional giveaway sponsored by HMHP Foundation. The participant who collects the most will be recognized at the Blue Ribbon Run awards ceremony
